Do you take insurance?
We accept all major medical insurances on an out of network basis. To determine if you have physical therapy coverage through your insurance carrier, the first thing you should do is call them. Check your coverage carefully and make sure you understand their answers. Some helpful questions you can ask them:
What are my physical therapy benefits?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
How many sessions does my plan cover?
How much does my insurance pay for an out-of-network provider?
Is approval required from my primary care physician?
Do I need a doctor's referral?
No. In the State of Maryland, all individuals are able to see a physical therapist without a doctor referral through the direct access law
What can I expect on my first visit?
We’ll discuss your current ailments that are keeping you from doing what you love as well as your goals for therapy. Next, we go through a thorough evaluation in order to create an individualized plan of care to address your specific needs
How often do I need to come?
Each and every individual is different due to level of activity and current situation. For a free consultation to discuss please call.
Most referrals prescribe 2-3x per week, but will vary depending on your diagnosis and current functional ability
How long are sessions?
Physical therapy sessions are 45-60 min depending on your injury and level of activity. Recovery sessions are 30 min with specific technique dependent on your needs
What do I need to wear?
Expect to wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing with rubber soled shoes to allow for you to perform physical activity
